Thank you for joining us for the Mills Big Brew today!
The final tally today was 106 batches / 836 gallons brewed onsite, making it the third largest Big Brew ever / anywhere (after our 2013 and 2016 events)!
Mills Big Brew history:
Year Batch Gal
2012 73 591
2013 122 1012
2014 105 814
2015 98 748
2016 123 996
2017 106 836
Total 627 4997
None of this would be possible with the full support of Rochester Mills for letting us take over their brewery for the day and for all the logistics they provide us; the Pontiac Brewing Tribe for organizing and running the event; and Cargill Malts, Top Hops Farms, and Hopsteiner for supplying the malt and hops.

We’d like to invite you back to the brewery for the Big Brew Review, a chance to share your beer with other homebrewers and compete for the chance to spend a day brewing with the team at the Rochester Mills Production Brewery. We’ll also have malt, hops, and beer for the top three brewers.
The agenda for June 3rd.
12:00 Doors open
12:00-1:00 Check-in for competition
1:00-3:00 People’s Choice voting
3:30 Competition winner announced
4:00 Event ends
The Tap Room will be open to the public from 4pm to 10pm.
All brewers wishing to participate in the competition should bring 24 bottles, 4 growlers, or a keg of their beer brewed on April 29th. If you’re bringing a keg, you need to bring CO2 and a tap. Note that in previous years, beers that were poured by the brewer (or their designated representative) tended to score better than beers that were just left on the tables (“self-serve”).
If you don’t want to enter your beer in the competition but still want to share it with others, feel free to bring some. Please take home any leftover beer and empty bottles/growlers, we have plenty here already.
See you on June 3rd!
